Alliant Acquires Idaho’s Pend Oreille Insurance

Alliant Insurance Services, one of the leading distributors of diversified insurance products and services in the U.S., announced Monday it has acquired Pend Oreille Insurance, one of the largest independent insurance agencies in Idaho.

In a press release, the Newport Beach-headquartered insurer described the latest transaction to be part of its “active regional acquisition campaign,” which demonstrated the company’s chain of strategic acquisitions in the greater Northwest since 2014.

“The Pend Oreille name has long been synonymous with strong service, local expertise, and strong dedication to providing a customized, personal touch,” commented Tom Corbett, Alliant Chairman and CEO. “The firm’s proven strength across markets will provide an additional layer of strength to our team in the Inland Northwest, further expanding our footprint in the region.”

Alliant Acquires Pend Oreille

Launched in 2000, Pend Oreille Insurance Services runs as one largest locally owned and independent insurance agencies in the state of Idaho. To date, the firm offers a comprehensive portfolio of services to clients in varying locations, including Montana, California, Arizona, Colorado, and Washington State. Among their product offerings include commercial insurance, personal insurance, and health and life insurance services.

“The Pend Oreille promise is centered upon providing a highly personal approach to serving each of our clients, making the insurance process as simple and cost-effective as possible. Joining Alliant furthers this promise,” said Stefanie Nostdahl, co-owner of Pend Oreille.

As part of the arrangement, Nostdahl, along with another co-owner Jodie Corless and the entire team, will join Alliant and will continue their operations from their Ponderay, ID offices.

“Alliant’s proven history of success here in Idaho, combined with its deep pool of national resources, will play an integral role in our ongoing growth, enabling us to provide an even higher level of service and expertise to our client base,” commented Corless on the acquisition.

The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
